The rufous-browed flycatcher is a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae.
Trait: rufous-front + white patch on the throat.
Muscicapidae: Muscicapa comes from the Latin musca meaning a fly, and capere to catch.
Anthipes, Anthi: possibly from Anthus a small bird, (possibly the yellow wagtail or undetermined bird), which is derived from Ancient Greek Ancient Greek ἄνθος (ánthos).
Antho- is a prefix derived from the Ancient Greek ἄνθος (anthos) meaning “flower”, brightness, brilliant.
