Binh Thuan Province is in the southern coast of Vietnam. The capital of Binh Thuan Province is the city of Phan Thiet, 150km south of Phan Rang – Thap Cham and 200km north-east of Ho Chi Minh City.

Binh Thuan Climate

Binh Thuan Province along with Ninh Thuan Province is the most arid region of Vietnam with the average rainfall of 1,024mm per annum (some areas in the region receives less than 500mm of rainfall per year), with average humidity of 79% and with average temperate of 27 Degrees Celsius. There are two seasons in Binh Thuan Province: the rainy season is from May through October and the dry season is from November through April.

What to see, Tourist Attractions in Binh Thuan Province

Binh Thuan Province is famous for the trip of pristine sand beaches of Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, for the stunning sand dunes and for the challenging desert which stretches over a hundred kilometers to Ninh Thuan Province. The Cape of Mui Ne, 20km from Phan Thiet City, is characterized with luxury resorts, palm forests and sunshine all year round.

1/ Doi Duong Beach, Phan Thiet City

The pristine beach is right in Phan Thiet City. The beach is quiet flat, the water is clear. It is very popular and could be especially crowded during the Vietnamese tourist season (March – August).

2/ Mui Ne Beach, Phan Thiet

The dozen kilometers of coastline from Phan Thiet City to the tip of Cape Mui Ne has mostly sandy beaches. Luxury resorts occupy almost the full length of the coastline, but there are paths for the public to access the beaches.

Mui Ne is among those places in Vietnam that are most early and most developed in luxury tourist infrastructures.

3/ Ke Ga Beach, Ham Thuan Nam District

The place has rocky beaches and sandy ones. The rocks look like cocks, hence the name Ke Ga in Vietnamese. The water is very clear and not many tourists visit the area so it is a very quiet place. Ke Ga is 65km southwest of Phan Thiet City.

4/ La Gi Beach

There are sandy beaches at La Gi and the little town is very popular to Vietnamese tourists who love reasonable prices. It may be overly crowded during Vietnamese tourist season (March – August). La Gi is 90km southwest of Phan Thiet City.

5/ Red Sand Dune

The sand dune is right in Mui Ne which has unique red colors which earn it the name. The place is good for photography and sand boarding, sand skating.

6/ White Sand Dune

The sand dune is huge which makes it look more like a desert. The site is especially photogenic and attracts a big number of tourists from Mui Ne and Phan Thiet to come here. The sand dune is 35km northeast of Phan Thiet City.

7/ Bau Sen (Lotus Flower Lake)

Bau Sen is a lotus flower lake by the White Sand Dune. The arid sand dune is white, the lake water is blue and the lotus flowers are red: the scene is beautiful!

8/ Ganh Son (Red Coastline)

This is a beach in Tuy Phong with some part sandy and some part rocky. The distinct red colors of the coastline here earns it the name Ganh Son. The beach attract only few visitors. Ganh Son is 80km northeast of Phan Thiet City

9/Bai Co Thach ( Ancient Rock Beach)

The craggy coast at Tuy Phong Binh Dinh is strewn with several boulders which are mossy at certain time of the year and which makes the scene just unusually beautiful! The best time to visit this beach is in March. Bai Co Thach is 90km northeast of Phan Thiet City.

10/ Cam Binh Beach

The beach is sandy but most activities here are related to fishing and tourism is only in its infancy. The beach is in Ham Tan District, Binh Thuan Province, 90km southwest of Phan Thiet City and 10km southwest of La Gi Town.

11/ Ta Cu Mountain

The mountain peak is 649m above sea level. You can trek to the summit or take a cable car ride. The mountain is in Thuan Nam District, 60km southwest of Phan Thiet City.

12/ Phu Quy Island

The island is 2-3.5 hours boat trip from Phan Thiet City. There are deserted beaches and simple travel services. The island has a population of mostly fishermen.

There are numerous activities for the travellers to Phan Thiet and Mui Ne.
