The Chinese blue flycatcher (Cyornis glaucicomans) is a small passerine bird in the flycatcher family, Muscicapidae.
This bird species was once considered a subspecies of the blue-throated blue flycatcher.

Muscicapidae: Muscicapa comes from the Latin musca meaning a fly, and capere to catch.
Cyornis combines the Ancient Greek kuanos meaning "dark-blue" with ornis meaning "bird".
glaucicomans: Latin glaucicomans bluish-grey.
