Bac Ha Trekking Holiday Overview
The trek is off-the-tourist track in the Plateau of Bac Ha with average elevation above 900m. Each day we trek for 5-6 hours on mountain slope, through valleys, through forests of peach trees and plum trees. In spring time, we will travel our way amid colorful blossoms. In April-early May, we could pick for ourselves fresh fruits which are just on the way.
For the nights, we will stay at the home of different ethnic families: Hmong and Phu La. The conditions are basic, but clean. The atmosphere is just unforgettable. We will have different chances to learn about the life and culture of the local ethnic minorities as well as their daily life on the tour. At each village, our hosts will treat us with their traditional cuisine for dinner. We could also try various types of rice wine and corn rice of the local which Bac Ha is known for.
Trekking in Bac Ha is definitely a great chance to get yourself trained with physical challenges and learn about different cultures of the local ethnic minorities in Bac Ha, Vietnam.

Detailed itinerary
Day1 ( Wednesday ) Hanoi free day/Overnight Train for Pho Lu (no included meal)
Leaving Hanoi in the evening, we take 4-shared cabin on the local train for Pho Lu. The night is comfortable enough with soft and air-con sleepers.

Day2 ( Thursday ) Pho Lu – Bac Ha – Ta Van Chu (5-6 hours trekking) (B/L/D)
Arriving at Pho Lu Township early next morning, we will meet the local driver and travel for 40 minutes to Bac Ha Town. We have time for breakfast, then set out for the trek. Our first night in Bac Ha is at Ta Van Chu, a village of the Flower Hmong ethnic. Ta Van Chu is surrounded by dense forest and wild mountains.
Day3 ( Friday ) Ta Van Chu – Lung Phing (5-6 hours trekking) (B/L/D)

We trek for about 20km (5-6 hours) to Lung Phing Village which is home to the Phu La ethnic group. This corner of Bac Ha is hardly visited by most travelers and the scenery is just fresh. Local ethnic here don't see foreigners often and they are curious to encounter you on the way. We will stay at a house on stilts of a Phu La family.
Day4 ( Saturday ) Lung Phing – Ban Pho (5-6 hours trekking) (B/L/D)

We trek for about 18km to Pho Village, home to the Flower Hmong People. The village is surrounded by low hills and terraces. After arrival, you have time for refreshment and for exploring the Hmong community.

Day5 ( Sunday ) Bac Ha Sunday Market/Bac Ha – Pho Lu/Overnight Train for Hanoi (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the homestay.
Pho Village is only 2km from Bac Ha Sunday Market; we’ll explore the amazing market on foot from our homestay. Later in the morning, enjoy a walk around Bac Ha Town and the surroundings. Have easy time around Pho Village then have a transfer back to Pho Lu Train Station for the overnight train journey back to Hanoi.

Day6 ( Monday ) Arrive at Hanoi/End of service (no included meals)
