The Phat Tich Pagoda in Tien Du Bac Ninh is among the oldest Buddhist Pagoda in Vietnam dating back from the 12th century C.E. The pagoda is perched on the scenic Phat Tich Mountain with sweeping views of the Duong River (Red River) and the countryside. The pagoda is 30km northeast of Hanoi.
The Phat Tich is among the ancient Buddhist pagodas in Vietnam with the most beautiful natural settings: close to the Duong River, on a scenic mountain, surrounded by a clutter of mountains and paddy fields. For long, the Phat Tich Pagoda has always been among the most popular ancient pagodas in Vietnam to the visitors, be it Vietnamese or foreign ones. Until now, all of those who visit the Phat Tich Pagoda are on regular sightseeing trips or cultural tours each of which takes half a day from Hanoi.
This trip, which is done by local adventure tour guide whose home is right here close to the pagoda, is a hard trekking and hiking tour. Our adventure tour follows a different route: hiking through mountains to visit the Phat Tich Pagoda. The trip takes ¾ of a day or a full day (depending on how fit you are and how fast you would like to make it) from Hanoi. Lunch at a local family with Vietnamese food.
Trip cost (minimum 2 persons): USD125/person.
