Red-billed leiothrix

The red-billed leiothrix (Leiothrix lutea) is a member of the family Leiothrichidae, native to southern China and the Himalayas.
The genus name Leiothrix combines the Ancient Greek leios meaning "smooth" and thrix meaning "hair".
The specific epithet lutea is from Latin luteus meaning "saffron-yellow".
