The Indian grassbird (Graminicola bengalensis) is a passerine bird in the family Pellorneidae.
The bird is found in Bangladesh, northern India, Bhutan and the Chitwan National Park of Nepal.
Pellorneum, Pellorneidae: combines the Ancient Greek pellos meaning "dark-coloured" with orneon meaning "bird".
Graminicola: Latin gramen, graminis grass; -cola dweller (colere to inhabit).
