Trekking Tour Bach Moc Luong Tu (Ky Quan San) Overview
Notes: AdventureGreen do need good time to get prepared for this trip. Payment/Deposit will have been completed 7-10 days before departure.
Starting our trek with this gradient going up and up
The distances we have to cover are 14km for the first day, 8km for the second day (up and down, 4km each way) and 14km back to the village on the last trekking day. The 14km-hike is along a tiny and uneven trail most of which travels through dense forests. The 8km-trek (4km/way) includes forest trails & vertiginous rock cliffs. On a pleasant day, trekking to the summit of Bach Moc Luong Tu is extremely hard; on a rainy day, this is mission impossible. Assess yourself objectively before booking with AdventureGreen. Any heath problems you may have must be informed before booking with us.
Fresh mountain scenery on the trek
Accommodation on the trek is at a rudimentary guesthouse of which the walls and floor are made of wooden planks that the winds can blow through. Blankets are provided but it may be much better you bring along your sleeping bag. Bathrooms and toilets which are extremely simple are separated from the sleeping house. Showers are not available and hot water incurs extra charges.
A forest that we trek through
Meals on the trek include picnic lunches and dinner cooked at the homestay. Dishes are limited to meat (pork, beef, chicken), eggs, steamed rice and rice balls, noodle soup, and vegetables (steamed or stirred fried), fruits. AdventureGreen also provides candies, sweets, biscuits… on the trek to help you recharge extra energy. If you have dietary restrictions or preferences, please let our staff know before departure for the adventure.

Day2 Lao Cai – Bat Xat - Sang Ma Sao – Muoi Mountain (2,100m) (B/L/D)

Meet our local team and get prepared before departing on the trek. This is a precious opportunity to assess your physical strength as well and mental stamina. This is also a once in a life time chance to train yourself to get fitter and grittier.
The trek today is a strenuous adventure that we hike for 14km on a tiny and slippery trails through forests, corn farms, streams… The last 2km is horrifying with steep gradients in a dense forest on a very uneven and treacherously slippery surface. On average you should complete the hike today in about 7 hours. And it is more likely that you will have good sleep before dinner. But wake yourself up and get recharged. It'd be a hard day tomorrow, too.

Breakfast at the guesthouse.
It is going to be a fun-filled day today. You will hike, trek and rock-climb 4km to the summit of Bach Moc Luong Tu. The landscape is sensational and you'd better enjoy it as much as you can. Do not worry about the difficulties as you will get through them all today anyway. Be sure to clamber up and down with extremely good care. Do remember that you are not in a race for a t-shirt, make it safe and sound.
When you face a vertical rock cliff, make sure you assess the leaning points, landing points… carefully before proceeding. Hiking shoes with good grips and spiked hand gloves are extremely helpful. If need be, ask your guide and porters to provide walking sticks and ropes to get up/down. If you complete the trek today in 9-10 hours then you should be content with yourself then.
In late afternoon, remember to get to the vantage point for adoring the magical sunset.
