Day1 Hanoi – Mai Chau - Pu Luong Nature Reserve (Hang Village, 02 hours trekking) (L/D)
Starting in Hanoi, our adventure brings us through the scenic nature of the countryside and of the wild mountains of Hoa Binh Province. We have stops every now and again on the road for you to take in the fresh scenery.
Arriving at Mai Chau at mid day, we have lunch at a local Thai family who live their life in houses on stilts. After lunch, we follow the Ma River to Pu Luong Nature Reserve and start our trek at Sai Village. The trek today is more or less easy for 2-3 hours.
Our first night is at Hang Village.

We leave Hang Village after that. The trek is along a scenic stream with forested mountains all around. The gradients are steep sometimes, but you don't normally feel tired, thanks to the fresh natural beauty and the joyful music played by running water down the streams.
Our picnic lunch is in the wild and we arrive at Kho Muong Village in early afternoon. The total trekking time today is about 5-6 hours. Kho Muong is another Thai village with idyllic natural settings. You can spend the afternoon with the village kids, or visit the rice terraces or the cave.

Day3 Kho Muong Village – Nua Village (5-6 hours trekking) (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hosts’ home.
We trek for 5-6 hours through forested mountains, rice paddies and villages. There are plenty of opportunities for you to take photos of the villages down the valleys while we trek on the high mountain slopes, of the villagers at work in the paddy fields or by the weaving looms...
Our home tonight is at Nua Village, amid a breezy large valley with a beautiful river running across. The house is beautifully located right on the rice field with great view of the surrounding mountains and the river in the front.
Day4 Nua Village – Muoi Village (Thai) – Ba Village (Thai) – Hanoi (4-5 hours trekking) (B/L)
Breakfast at the hosts’ home.
We take steep gradients on a karst mountain through dense forests to Ba Village, where we take our vehicle back to Hanoi. Picnic lunch is en route and the trekking time is 5-6 hours. Leaving Pu Luong and coming back to the city, we are pretty sure that you get the feeling that you have done the right things for yourself and for the locals… And of course, beautiful moments on the adventure are to remain for quite some time!
