The green shrike-babbler (Pteruthius xanthochlorus) is a bird species in the family Vireonidae. 
The bird is found in Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Vietnam.

Vireonidae: Vireo / vireo Latin vireo small green migratory bird.
Pteruthius Greek pteron wing; eruthaino to dye red, to blush.
xanthochlorus:
 xanthos,-E,-on, yellow of various shades, golden or pale yellow; also red-yellow, chestnut, auburn;
