The black-headed shrike-babbler (Pteruthius rufiventer) is a bird species of the Eurasian vireos (Vireonidae), traditionally placed with the Old World babblers in the family Timaliidae.
The area of distribution of this bird ranges from eastern Nepal to northwestern Vietnam.
