Orange-Headed Thrush

The orange-headed thrush is a bird in the thrush family Turdidae.

Turdidae derives from the Latin word turdus, meaning thrush.
The genus name Geokichla combines the Ancient Greek geō- meaning "ground-" with kikhlē meaning "thrush.
citrina, citrinus, citrine:  A brownish-yellow quartz.
