The black-headed sibia (Heterophasia desgodinsi) is a bird species in the family Leiothrichidae. 

The white-spectacled sibia is considered by some to be a subspecies of the black-headed sibia.

Heterophasia, Hetero: derives from the Greek word heteros meaning "different" or "other".

Heterophasia, the sibias, is a bird genus in the family Leiothrichidae of the order Passeriformes.
