The stripe-throated yuhina (Yuhina gularis) is a bird species in the white-eye family Zosteropidae.
The bird is found from the Himalayas to southern China and central Vietnam

Zosteropidae, Zosterops combines the Ancient Greek words zosteros "belt" or "girdle" and opos "eye".
The genus name is from Nepali language.
