Your Vietnam adventure tours may be affected by changes to Vietnam's entry visas from 15-August-2023. The amendments to Vietnam Immigration Law which is passed by the National Asssembly of Vietnam on 24-June-2023 is to come into effect from 15-August-2023.
The changes to Vietnam's entry visas are as follows:
1/ Electronic visas (e-visas):
- The duration of a stay is extended from 30 days to 90 days;
- The number of entries changed from Single-Entry to Multiple-Entries.
The Vietnamese Government is to decide which nationals and which border ports the e-visas are applied to.
2/ Visa-free Stays, Visa Exemption Policy:
The duration of a stay for the nationals who enjoy visa-free entries into Vietnam is extended from 15 days to 45 days.
The new policy towards entry visas for Vietnam is to facilitate business travelers, investors and tourists in making trips to Vietnam. Along with the amendments to the Immigration Law, the Vietnamese Government is also finding ways to reduce procedures that tourists have to go through to obtain visa for entering Vietnam. With the new law approved by Vietnam National Assembly and efforts by the Vietnamese Government, Vietnam tour companies and Vietnam tour operators hope there would be an increase in travelers making holidays in Vietnam later in 2023 and in the years to come.
