Malagasy bulbul

The Malagasy bulbul (Hypsipetes madagascariensis) is a species of songbird in the bulbul family, Pycnonotidae. It is found on Madagascar and other regional islands in the south-western Indian Ocean, Vietnam.
The family name Pycnonotidae is from Greek: puknos "thick" or "compact" and -nōtos "-backed".
The genus name Hypsipetes combines the Ancient Greek hupsi meaning "high" with petēs meaning "-flyer".
