Black-throated parrotbill

The black-throated parrotbill (Suthora nipalensis) is a parrotbill species of the family Paradoxornithidae.
Some bird taxonomic authorities placed this species in the the Old World babblers (family Timaliidae) or in a distinct family Sylviidae.
The bird is found in Bhutan, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Tibet and Vietnam.
The genus name Suthora is the Nepalese word for the black-throated parrotbill (Suthora nipalensis).
