Black-headed greenfinch

The black-headed greenfinch (Chloris ambigua) is a small passerine bird in the family Fringillidae.
The bird is found in the Chinese province of Yunnan, northern Laos, eastern Myanmar and adjacent areas of Vietnam, Thailand and Northeast India.
The greenfinches were formerly placed in the genus Carduelis.

The genus name is from Ancient Greek khloris, the European greenfinch, from khloros, "green".
The specific epithet ambigua is from the Latin ambiguus for "doubtful".
