The Bidoup Nui Ba National Park is mostly in Lac Duong District and a part in Dam Rong District, Lam Dong Province, 50km north of Da Lat. The area of the national park stretches nearly all of the Lang Biang (Lam Vien) Plateau.

Bidoup Nui Ba National Park Travel Guide Overview 

The Bidoup Nui Ba National Park has over 91% of the surface area covered in mostly primeval forest which is home to a rich fauna and flora system of which many are listed as endangered species. There are several precious species of pine trees and of orchids in the national park.

The national park is also home to endangered species like: black shanked doucs, yellow-cheeked black gibbons, sun bears, Asian black bears, Asian golden cats, Asian elephants, dholes, gaurs, wild water buffaloes, Indochinese serows, tigers, giant munjacs (Muntiacus vuquangensis, Mang L), Owston's palm civet (Cầy vằn bắc)…

Weather and Climate

The climate at the Bidoup Nui Ba National Park is temperate with two main seasons: dry season from November through April and rainy season from May through October. It is cold from November through February.

The time when you can find rhododendron flowers: January, February, March, June, July, August. The time for wild orchids is from April through July. The best time for bird watching is from January through June.

Tourist Attractions, Adventure Tours, Things to Do at the Bidoup Nui Ba National Park

1/ Thien Thai Waterfall (trekking 3.5km)

The waterfall is in Da Nhim, Lac Duong, 35km north of Da Lat. The waterfall is amid a double/triple-canopy forest. There are sites for camping amid the wild nature near the waterfall.

2/ The Lang Biang Peak (2,167m, trekking 9km)

This is the second highest peak of the Lang Biang Mountain. The mountain offers sublime views of the surroundings. There are chances for bird watching at the Lang Biang: grey-crowned crocias, collared laughingthrust, Carduelis monguillotis,..

3/ Bidoup Peak (2,287m, trekking 17km) – the highest peak of the Lang Biang Plateau

You can go on a trekking tour for 2 days and 1 night to conquer the summit of the mountain. You’ll stay in a tent amid wild nature for the night. The landscape on the trek is sublime with waterfalls, thin forest, thick forest, thick and mossy rain forest,… There are several trees of over 1,000 years old for you to learn about. If in season, you’ll be lost amid a forest of rhododendron flowers.

4/ Hon Giao – Giang Ly diverse ecosystem (1.8km)

The path is for birding enthusiasts to discover several of the 301 bird species of the Bidoup – Nui Ba Mountain. Collared laughingthrush, white-cheeked laughingthrush, Burmese shrikes…

5/ Trekking Dung Ja Jieng (10km)

The day trek is through a forest of the Bidoup – Nui Ba National Park which offers chances of learning about the diverse ecosystem. You’ll also visit a village of the K’ho inhabiting in the national park.

6/ Bird Watching Tours, Birding Holidays
