After typhoon Yagi in Vietnam, several trees most of which were big timber ones and several of which were of decades years of age or century-years of age, were downed by the unprecedented winds of 100-150 kph.
The typhoon maintained deadly strong wind speeds in the whole of northern Vietnam (inland) for over 11 hours which had not happened before. After Typhoon Yagi, torrential rain poured down in all of northern Vietnam causing floods in several places from the low-lying Red River Delta to the rugged far northern mountains on high elevations. The huge amount of rainfalls caused by Typhoon Yagi poured down in such a short period of time caused the soil, rock to get soaked up quickly and then mountains exploded and collapsed, rocks and soil, trees... swept away destroying everything in the path. The damage had not been seen before and not many families or individuals were excluded from the damage.
