Le Bihoreau superbe (Oroanassa magnifica) est une espèce d'oiseaux de la famille des ardéidés. Cet oiseaux,  anciennement Gorsachius magnificus, est endémique du Vietnam et de la Chine.

Ardeidae, Ardea: mot latin ardea pour "héron".
Oroanassa: mot grec oros pour montagne; anassa dame, reine.
magnifica: mot latin magnificus splendide, grand (magnus grand; facere: faire).
