The osprey, also called sea hawk, river hawk, and fish hawk, is a diurnal, fish-eating bird of prey of the family Pandionidae of the order Accipitriformes.

Pandion is a genus of fish-eating bird of prey, known as ospreys, the only genus of family Pandionidae.
